The visit, step by step
Four stages, roughly 45 minutes. You will know what is happening before it happens, and you can pause at any point.
Medical history
Medications, allergies, sensitivity and anything you have noticed yourself.
Examination
Teeth, gums, bite, existing dental work and soft tissues, with images shown on the screen beside the chair.
Clean and polish
Plaque and calculus removed, a finishing polish, and fluoride where clinically appropriate.
Plan and quote
Findings explained, options laid out with the fee for each, and a written quote to consider at home.

Most patients find a professional clean straightforward. If your teeth or gums are sensitive, tell us at the start — we can adjust technique, use AIRFLOW® cleaning and take breaks as needed.
No, and it is a common reason people call us. The appointment starts with an examination, we explain what we find without lecturing, and you decide what happens next. Ask for a longer appointment when you book if you would like more time.
Digital X-rays show areas an examination cannot, such as between teeth and below the gum line. They are taken only where clinically indicated, and your dentist will explain why before proceeding.
Yes. We see patients of all ages and accept the Child Dental Benefits Schedule for eligible children, with family appointments usually booked back to back.
